Relationship Manager Deposit Banking

Job Description:

  • Responsible to drive and manage the execution of sales strategy and customer acquisition process in order to meet, exceed portfolio growth and cross sell targets. • Ensure overall assigned portfolio targets are met. • Ensure targeted percentage of portfolio mix i.e. between CASA and Term Deposit is achieved. • Identify target customers both locally within the region/ area in order to establish a basis for potential business. • Achieve fairly priced deposit to support liability growth by complying with State Bank guidelines. • Establish and maintain good relationships with key potential clients, and develop these into successful, ongoing business relationships. • Acquire new portfolio to maximize sales performance to achieve revenue targets through Liability products. • Ensue liability mobilization over a large number of accounts to minimize concentration risk and volatility in the portfolio. • Expands revenue by marketing new products and services to existing and new clients. • Continuously benchmark competition, track market developments in order to keep abreast of the competition. • Ensure the objectives are met within Bank policies, procedures, strategies and maintain coordination with internal units of the bank. • Ensure deposit mobilization and NTB account Opening. • Ensure to Provide highest level of customer service. • A good understanding of Liabilities product and its workability. Must possess knowledge about CASA & bilinear fundamental to achieve CASA growth. • Handle activities ranging from identifying client’s financial needs and provide a need-based solution to clients like Payments & Cash Management, Trade Services, Treasury, Investment Banking. • Self-Starter and self-motivated. • Outstanding presentation, communication and interpersonal skills. • Maintain good relationships with clients so that the business can maximize the value of those relationships. • Identify key contacts at potential client companies to establish and foster relationships. • Participate in one-on-one meetings with clients to explain services to guide their choices. • Understand the problems and challenges of clients and identify ways the business could better address those needs. • Grow the business by identifying new sales and business development opportunities. • Seek opportunities to cross-sell or upsell to existing clients. • Monitor and assess the activities of our competitors to proactively satisfy and retain our clients. • Provide excellent service to maintain a positive reputation for the business. • Resolve any customer complaints promptly and professionally. • Set revenue targets and develop and execute a strategy to meet them. • Any task/ assignment assigned by Line Manager to be completed in efficient and effective manner.

  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree from a reputable Institution in business administration, commerce, accounting, marketing, economics or finance. MBA will be preferable (Subject to approval). • Have a minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in sales planning, management, and operations experience within the retail/consumer banking.
