VP Strategy and Sustainability

Job Details:

    • The role will be reporting to the Head of Strategy and Sustainability and will focus on the following:
    • 1. Lead the development and execution of the bank’s strategy, ensuring alignment with the bank’s vision and mission.
    • 2. Design and oversee the implementation of the bank’s ESG framework, policies, and initiatives.
    • 3. Track and drive the progress of digital transformation initiatives with a focus on sustainable technologies and practices.
    • 4. Forge alliances with industry leaders, regulatory bodies, and non-governmental organizations to advocate for women’s financial inclusion, climate action, and green finance.
    • 5. Prepare, develop, and refine qualitative and quantitative dashboards and presentations to meet management and stakeholder needs.
    • • Lead the development and execution of the bank’s strategy, ensuring alignment with the bank’s vision and mission.
    • • Integrate Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles into the overall strategy, ensuring a balance between profitability and sustainability.
    • • Design and oversee the implementation of the bank’s ESG framework, policies, and initiatives.
    • • Monitor and report on the bank’s ESG performance, including carbon emissions, diversity and inclusion metrics, and community impact.
    • • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to develop and launch green financing products and programs that promote digital financial inclusion and sustainability.
    • • Ensure compliance with global ESG standards and regulatory requirements.
    • • Track and drive the progress of digital transformation initiatives with a focus on sustainable technologies and practices.
    • • Identify, onboard, and manage strategic partnerships to advance the bank’s ESG and digital transformation agenda.
    • • Forge alliances with industry leaders, regulatory bodies, and non-governmental organizations to advocate for women’s financial inclusion, climate action, and green finance.
    • • Prepare, develop, and refine qualitative and quantitative dashboards to meet management and stakeholder needs.
    • • Provide actionable insights through market sizing, customer segmentation, and product assessments.
    • • Act as the primary liaison with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the effective implementation of strategic and ESG initiatives.
    • • Maintain regular communication with the board and senior management, providing strategic insights and progress updates.
    • • Conduct research on global and local trends in banking, ESG, and technology to inform the bank’s strategy.
    • • Organize and deliver knowledge-sharing sessions for senior management to foster a culture of sustainability and innovation.
    • • Oversee the documentation, tracking, and execution of strategic and ESG projects, ensuring milestones and success criteria are met.
    • • Develop and implement formal mechanisms for tracking project progress and reporting outcomes.

    • • Thorough understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements for bank
    • • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Finance & Accounting, from a reputable institution, however MBA/Post-Graduate will be preferable.
    • • Have a minimum of 10 years’ experience of working in corporate sector including banks.
