Identify, assess, and document operational risks and evaluating risk areas across the operational activities.
Conduct RSCA/Risk Register to identify risks in coordination with process owners. Devise action plans for addressing risks in coordination with process owners.
Work with the Line Manager to design RCSAs, finalize exceptions / action items and review process.
Analyse and report on RCSA findings and recommendations.
Work with the business in respect of the continuous improvement of the Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) process.
Responsible for ensuring updation of risk registers on defined frequency.
Monitor the process of risk mitigation actions and escalate overdue or ineffective actions.
Monitoring and reviewing the effectiveness of risk management controls and making recommendations for improvement.
Report operational risk issues and decisions to senior management on regular basis.
Develop and deploy a mechanism for aggregating, monitoring and flagging off risks at the unit level on periodic basis
Maintain and update Operational loss data base as per the regulatory requirements.
Oversee the accurate and timely collection of Operational risk incidents data from all sources.
Responsible for ensuring accurate reporting of Operational risk losses and reconciliation with GL.
Proactively identify opportunities to improve the incident reporting process, tools and methodologies.
Track and report all incidents reported to Operational Risk function along with root cause analysis.
Investigate root causes of operational risk incidents and provide support to mitigate risk through recommending changes in Policy, Procedures and/ or processes / systems. Ensuring implementation of corrective actions.
Keep abreast of latest operational risk management techniques and industry best practices
Well versed with regulatory framework & guidelines for Microfinance, Branchless Banking & Digital Banking
Work closely with key business stakeholders to ensure that there is a consistent and effective management of all aspects of the operational risk framework to identify, assess & monitor operational risk faced by the bank both in branch & branchless domains.
To assist in developing “Key Risk Indicators” (KRIs) for operational risks to ensure the escalation of significant risk issues to appropriate management levels
Ensure timely communication of new/revised external regulations and internal policies.
Hold a bachelor's or master's degree from a reputable Institution in the fields of Business Administration (Banking & Finance/Accounts)/ACCA/CA part qualified.
Have 4-7 years of relevant experience
Essential Skills
Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint)
Analytics
Strong understanding of operational risk management principles.
Sound communication and interpersonal skills
