Head Internal Audit Quality Assurance (QA) is responsible for overseeing the internal quality assurance and improvement program (QAIP) across the Internal Audit function. This role ensures alignment with the IIA’s International Professional Practices Framework (IPPF) and supports the strategic objectives of Internal Audit. The position acts as a key advisor to the Chief Internal Audit, offering assurance over the function's effectiveness and readiness for external assessments. The role is expected to demonstrate readiness for stepping into senior leadership role.
Quality Assurance & Improvement Program (QAIP)
• Design, implement, and lead a comprehensive QAIP to evaluate the efficiency, consistency, and compliance of the internal audit activity.
• Conduct periodic internal assessments (both ongoing and periodic reviews) in line with IIA Standards.
• Lead preparations for external quality assessments (EQA) and implement recommendations.
Audit Methodology & Frameworks
• Continuously review and enhance audit methodology, planning processes, risk assessments, and reporting frameworks.
• Ensure audit practices integrate best practices, data analytics, automation tools, and fintech-specific risks.
Leadership and Strategic Support
• Serve as a senior advisor to the CIA and act as second-in-command within the function.
• Provide coaching, mentoring, and development to audit staff on methodology and quality standards.
• Lead special assignments and strategic projects assigned by the CIA, including automation and digitization of audit processes.
Reporting and Governance
• Present QA findings to the CIA and periodically to the Audit Committee.
• Track and report remediation of QA findings, thematic issues, and process improvement initiatives.
Succession and Capability Development
• Build strong succession planning practices and demonstrate readiness for stepping into senior leadership role.
• Maintain strong stakeholder relationships, particularly with Board of directors, Board Committees, Group Management and External Auditors.

Performs related work as assigned by the Chief Internal Auditor.
• Education:
o CA, ACCA or Master’s degree in Finance or related field.
o CIA, or equivalent professional qualification.
• Experience:
o Minimum 10–12 years of progressive experience in internal audit, risk, or quality assurance.
o Minimum 5 years in banking/financial services, preferably with digital or fintech exposure.
o Demonstrated experience in leading audit QA programs and working with Audit Committees.
• Key Skills:
o Deep knowledge of IIA Standards, QAIP principles, and regulatory expectations.
