As Unit Lead Network Infrastructure you will play a critical role in managing and maintaining MMBL’s network infrastructure to ensure security, reliability, and efficiency. You will lead a team of network engineers and technicians, oversee design, implementation, and maintenance, while ensuring compliance with banking and regulatory standards.
• Design, implement, and maintain the bank’s LAN, WAN, VPN, and related network infrastructure.
• Ensure high availability and reliability of network services to support critical banking operations.
• Monitor performance, analyse traffic patterns, and optimize efficiency to minimize downtime.
• Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify vulnerabilities and maintain compliance.
• Implement and maintain strong network security measures against cyber threats and unauthorized access.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations (PCI DSS, GDPR, local banking standards).
• Collaborate with security and compliance teams for risk assessments, incident response, and security best practices.
• Lead a team of engineers and technicians, providing mentorship and guidance.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and operations teams on projects and issue resolution.
• Promote teamwork, innovation, and continuous learning to achieve business objectives.
• Manage vendor relationships, procurement, contract negotiations, and performance.
• Develop and manage budgets, ensuring optimal resource utilization and cost-effectiveness.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or related field (Masters or Certifications like CCNP, CCIE, CISSP preferred).
• At least 5 years of experience in network management roles within banking or financial services.
• Hands-on experience on Cisco, FortiGate, Palo Alto, Huawei and Juniper networking/security products
• Strong knowledge of networking technologies, protocols, and standards (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, switching).
• Solid understanding of network security principles and practices.
