• What is Database Security Expert - MMBL?
  • We are seeking a highly skilled Database Security Expert to safeguard our organization’s databases and ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of critical information. In this role, he will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust security controls across our database environments. He has also knowledge of open source databases security features like (Mongo, Postgres, MySQL) Databases.
• What Database Security Expert - MMBL does?
  • • Conduct regular security assessments and audits of database systems to identify vulnerabilities and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • • Implement robust user access controls, roles, and permissions to restrict access to sensitive data.
  • • Deploy and manage encryption and data masking techniques to protect data at rest and in transit.
  • • Monitor database activity for suspicious behaviour, respond to security incidents, and perform timely resolution and documentation.
  • • Stay informed about the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and best practices, and apply patches and updates as needed.
  • • Work with other departments to align database security with broader enterprise security goals.
• What are we looking for and what does it require to be Database Security Expert - MMBL?
  • Proficiency with database management systems (e.g., Oracle 19c, SQL Server, mongo, PostgreSQL) and must have database security tools. In-depth understanding of encryption, data masking, access control, Audit Vault and other security concepts. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve security issues. Familiarity with compliance frameworks like PCI-DSS have added advantage.
  • • Certifications: Certifications such as OCP, Oracle Database Security Expert Certification are often preferred.
  • • Education: A Bachelor's/Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
  • • Experience:3 years of experience in database administration or security, with specific experience in implementing and maintaining database security measures.
  • Problem Solving skill, Continuous learning for new technologies, Time management while having different tasks.
