We are seeking an experienced Backup & Storage Administrator to manage enterprise backup, storage, and disaster recovery environments. The resource will be responsible for ensuring high availability, data protection, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence across backup and storage infrastructure within enterprise-scale environments.
1.Backup Management: Administer enterprise backup solutions (NetBackup preferred). Monitor and troubleshoot backup jobs to ensure high success rates. Configure, optimize, and maintain backup policies. Manage restore requests and validate data recoverability. Conduct periodic recovery testing. Coordinate and execute disaster recovery (DR) drills. Perform backup capacity
planning and forecasting. Generate backup reports and support compliance audits.
2. Storage Management: Administer enterprise SAN/NAS platforms (Huawei Dorado, Dell EMC, HPE, Pure Storage, etc.). Perform LUN provisioning and allocation management. Monitor and tune storage performance. Conduct storage capacity planning and forecasting. Execute firmware upgrades and patch management. Manage replication and snapshot technologies. Support cloud storage administration (AWS/Azure if applicable). Troubleshoot storage incidents and perform root cause analysis.
3. Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity: Develop and maintain Disaster Recovery documentation. Ensure RPO/RTO alignment and reporting. Coordinate DR testing activities. Provide failover and failback support. Support DR audits and compliance reviews.
4. Security & Compliance: Implement role-based access control (RBAC). Maintain audit logging and monitoring. Enforce data retention policies. Support compliance reporting (ISO, SOC, HIPAA, GDPR, etc., if applicable). Ensure adherence to company security policies.
5. Required Experience & Qualifications:
Minimum 4+ years of relevant experience in backup and storage administration.
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and documentation skills.
Ability to work in structured escalation models.
Preferred Certifications:
NetBackup Certification / Veeam
NetApp / Dell EMC / HPE Storage Certification
