Access Management Officer

Job Details:

    • The Access Management Officer is responsible for managing and safeguarding user access across banking systems and applications in alignment with MMBL’s information security policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
    • The role ensures timely provisioning, modification, and de-provisioning of user access rights while enforcing strong access controls to prevent unauthorized access. It involves close coordination with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient access lifecycle management, support audit and compliance requirements, and maintain a secure access environment.
    • In addition, the position contributes to continuous improvement initiatives within identity and access management processes, ensuring operational efficiency, audit readiness, and adherence to governance standards.
    • Identity and Access management • Create, modify, suspend, and delete user accounts across all banking systems and applications in line with approved requests. • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of user access rights for audit and compliance purposes Administer and monitor privileged access requests, ensuring that elevated privileges are granted strictly on a need-to-know and least-privilege basis with appropriate approvals. • Ensure that all access changes are implemented within agreed Turnaround Times (TATs). Compliance & Governance • Strictly adhere to and enforce the Bank’s change management, information security, and regulatory compliance policies. • Ensure compliance with SBP regulations, IT audit recommendations, and internal security standards. • Evaluate and recommend access control measures for newly developed or procured applications/systems. • Conduct periodic access reviews and support internal/external audits. Issue Resolution & Coordination • Coordinate with Level 2 and Level 3 support teams to escalate and resolve user access-related issues. • Monitor and respond to access management tickets, ensuring timely closure. Process Improvement & Documentation • Maintain and regularly update IAM process documentation, SOPs, and workflows. • Stay updated on emerging IAM trends, tools, and best practices relevant to banking security. • Recommend enhancements to IAM policies, procedures, and tools. Other Duties • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the line manager, ensuring alignment with departmental objectives.
    • Qualifications & Skills Education: • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field. Experience: • 2–3 years of hands-on experience in Identity and Access Management, preferably in the banking or financial services sector. Technical Skills: • Strong understanding of access control principles, RBAC (Role-Based Access Control), and user lifecycle management. • Familiarity with core banking systems, Active Directory, and IAM tools. • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for reporting and documentation. Soft Skills: • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. • Effective time management and ability to handle multiple priorities. • Team collaboration and coordination skills.
