Head of Products & Research

Job Details:

    • The Head of Product & Research is responsible for the strategic planning, development & management of bank products, ensuring alignment with business goals & market trends. This role oversees product innovation, research, pricing, budgeting governance & compliance while driving customers-centric product strategies. Additionally, the role involves monitoring product performance, ensuring regulatory adherence, & leveraging administrative tools for effective product governance.
    • Strategic product development, Sustainability & innovation:
    • • Develop & implement a comprehensive product strategy aligned with the bank current & future business goals.
    • • Lead the research & development of new banking products ensuring innovation, market segmentation, retail-corporate product strategies & customer relevance.
    • • Identify & lead new market development campaigns in specialized SME’s products, low cost deposit, BANCA & develop roadmaps for implementation of digital solutions.
    • • Drive digital transformation by integrating fintech solutions & emerging technologies.
    • • Develop and lead regional product strategy. Design & implement product roadmap tailored to different regions based on economic, cultural & demographic factors.
    • • Market intelligence and data-driven insights to identify high potential regions for new product launch and branch expansion.
    • • Establish a sustainable framework & product strategy for green finance, climate resilience integrating ESG principles & innovative insurance into product development.
    • • Product Research & Market Intelligence:
    • • Lead & conduct in-depth market research & data analytics to optimize product performance & customer experience.
    • • Establish a framework for product testing, product lab for continuous innovation & improved product life cycle.
    • • Provide and enabling environment for Corporate, retail and value chain solutions with renewable energy firms, green technology providers & environmental agencies to promote sustainable financing and business growth.
    • Pricing, Budgeting & Financial Performance:
    • • Lead in developing the best product positioning through pricing strategies that balance profitability & competitiveness.
    • • Oversee all products revenue forecasting, cost management & budget allocation.
    • • Monitor key performance metrics (Revenue, cost of fund, product profitability) to ensure sustainability.
    • Product Monitoring & Performance Management:
    • • Define & track key performance indicators (KPI’s) for all bank products.
    • • Implement real time product monitoring dashboards & analytical tools.
    • • Conduct periodic product reviews & implement necessary enhancement based on performance data.
    • • Ensure collaboration with sales, marketing, finance & IT teams for seamless product execution.
    • Compliance & Risk Management:
    • • Ensure all products adhere to regulatory guidelines, internal polices & risk framework.
    • • Lead the collaboration with internal & external stakeholders & regulator in mitigating the potential product related risks.
    • Administration & Governance:
    • • Establish governance mechanism to ensure transparency in product processes, approvals & lifecycle management.
    • • Drive automation and process improvements to enhance product delivery & operational efficiency.
    • • Standardize product documentation, processes & reporting mechanism.
    • • Assist CBO in board and management level matters related to product unit.
    • Experience:
    • • Over 10 years of experience in product development and management.
    • • At least 3 years in a managerial role.
    • • Strong expertise in retail, digital, and commercial banking products.
    • Educational Background:
    • • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, Banking, or a related field (preferred).
    • • Certification in Product Management, FinTech, ESG, or Digital Banking (preferred).
    • Technical Proficiency:
    • • Expertise in product development and management within the banking sector.
    • • Strong analytical skills for data-driven decision-making.
    • • Knowledge of digital banking and fintech innovations.
    • • Experience in change management and transformation initiatives.
    • • Strategic planning and execution capabilities.
    • Soft Skills:
    • • Visionary thinking with a forward-looking approach.
    • • Strong stakeholder management skills.
