Assistant Database Administrator

Job Details:

    • The Assistant Database Administrator is responsible for supporting the installation, administration, monitoring, maintenance, and security of the organization's database environments.
    • Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server databases.
    • Monitor database health, availability, and performance using standard monitoring tools.
    • Perform routine database administration tasks, including user creation, password resets, and privilege management.
    • Execute database backup and recovery procedures and verify backup integrity.
    • Support database patching, upgrades, and migration activities under the guidance of senior DBAs.
    • Monitor database storage utilization and recommend capacity planning improvements.
    • Troubleshoot database issues and escalate complex problems to senior DBAs.
    • Assist in implementing database security standards, auditing, and compliance requirements.
    • Support Disaster Recovery (DR) testing and High Availability (HA) configurations.
    • Maintain database documentation, including configuration details, SOPs, and operational procedures.
    • Any other task assigned from Manager.
    • Minimum 1 to 3 Years relevant experience
    • Education A Bachelor’s or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering.
    • Troubleshooting: Strong problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve daily incidents .Ability to learn new technologies .
